by Frédéric Bastiat

You havethe nerve to call that fine? It is frightful! It is abominable! Theserandom selections from the writings of Montesquieu show that heconsiders persons, liberties, property -- mankind itself -- to benothing but materials for legislators to exercise their wisdom upon.
