A Study in Scarlet

When Dr John Watson takes rooms in Baker Street with amateur detective Sherlock Holmes, he has no idea that he is about to enter a shadowy world of criminality and violence. Accompanying Holmes to an ill-omened house in south London, Watson is startled to find a dead man whose face is contorted in a rictus of horror. There is no mark of violence on the body yet a single word is written on the wall in blood. Dr Watson is as baffled as the police, but Holmes’s brilliant analytical skills soon uncover a trail of murder, revenge and lost love …

Reviews

A very funny novel ... I couldn't put it down

—— Janet Street Porter , Marie Claire

Murder Most Fab is a slick page-turner, darkly funny, incongruously believable ... you are completely swept along by it

—— Chrissy Iley , Guardian

This debut novel is both a shock and rather shocking. Julian Clary does good fiction

—— Henry Sutton , Daily Mirror

Black comedy runs riot as a rent boy turns killer and then TV celebrity ... a hilarious dark ride

—— Heat Magazine

With his high camp and filthy humour, Clary is as entertaining on paper as he is on stage

—— Francesca Segal , Observer

Murder Most Fab is filthy, very funny and will be adored by his fans

—— Mark Sanderson , Evening Standard

Clary is a good writer ... A bit as you'd expect the author himself to be, Murder Most Fab has a dirty mouth and scant regard for morals but it is also very pleasant company

—— Louis Wise , Daily Express

With all the ingredients that made Clary a success, plus an extra-large helping of sinister storytelling, Murder Most Fab is viciously funny and deliciously salacious

—— Rob Dawson , Gay Times
