Doctor Who: Tip Of The Tongue

Read Patrick Ness's first ever story in the world of Doctor Who.

In 1945, a strange new craze for Truth Tellers is sweeping the kids of small-town America. The Fifth Doctor and Nyssa soon arrive to investigate the phenomenon, only to discover that the actual truth behind the Truth Tellers is far more sinister than anyone could have imagined...

Author Patrick Ness puts his own unique spin on the Doctor, his terrifying alien enemies and time-travelling adventures.

Reviews

Fast-moving and punchy, this well-written novel should hold the attention of young teenagers used to the cut and thrust of video gaming. With a clever and exciting plot and strong and endearing characters, this is an Oliver Twist for the 21st century.

The attention to detail is phenomenal - everything has been thoroughly researched from the gadgets, the computer hacking, the undercover surveillance and genetics. All make the reading both fascinating and inspiring. Nevertheless, he has been able to balance this technological combination to create an amazing interactive thriller which is a winner. This is the best fantasy based book that I have read this year; I loved reading every single page.

This must be Oisín McGann’s best book to date. I have enjoyed all the ones I’ve read, but do feel Rat Runners has that little bit extra... Very exciting, and I am more than ready for the next one. I can’t see that we are done yet.
