Full of little girl appeal!

It's a gorgeous little book published by Red Fox. It is fabulously illustrated with a beautifully written and humorous storyline that covers the issues of honesty, generosity and friendship.

The illustrations are bright and cheerful and the crocodiles are just charming...other themes are introduced with a lightness of touch, such as not giving in to bullying, still being liked and respected by others even when opinions on the best course of action differ, a discussion of what gives an object value, and a rather sensible approach to financial management which could make this a good book to read if you are about to start giving your kids pocket money.

The illustrations are vibrant and humorous and the story of Little Croc's dilemma is well thought out....Little Croc's Purse is a lovely book which I would highly recommend.

All in all, this is a wonderfully illustrated and presented little book with some great opportunities for discussion.

With Finlay's now characteristic combination of artistic styles Little Croc's purse has a fresh and engaging feel... Each page layout is a perfect balance of text and illustration and there is plenty in this story to delight adults and children alike. I can't help feeling that anyone who can succeed in making a crocodile look vulnerable must be a genius!

A cute story promoting the 'spending, sharing, saving' ethos. Good for parent's trying to teach kid's about pocket money.
